Technical Details
The SmartReg system is non-intrusive to your application. It merely emulates keystrokes to input data into your system. This design eliminates the chance of effecting your system and maximizes the speed and flexibility of your current system. Listed below are just some of the standard features of the SmartReg system.

Automatic Screen Recognition

SmartReg will automatically recognize any screen and populate the necessary fields accordingly. This is a must, or the overall participation of your users will not be what you are expecting. Screen recognition is performed before any data is populated. This assures data is being populated into the correct form each time.

Automatic Screen Recognition

SmartReg allows the user to swipe a license one time and then fill out multiple screens with the touch of a hot-key, instead of swiping the license at each screen.

Automatic Screen Recognition

SmartReg was specifically designed to populate any type screen with any type of complexity. With such built-in flexibility, SmartReg will adapt to any and all your future needs.

Automatic Screen Recognition

SmartReg supports various other card types, and can be configured to act like a keyboard wedge reader when other cards are swiped. This feature can be very usefull when you are currently using one reader with your system, and would like to combine both functions into a single reader.

Automatic Screen Recognition

SmartReg will allow you to have a pop-up dialog to view certain data from a license while screen population is being performed. This could be used to show a license holder's age while the particular form you are populating does not require this info.

Automatic Screen Recognition

The American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) only issues "best practices guidelines" for the encoding of magnetic stripes and 2-D bar codes. The states are under no mandate to follow them. The result: "Each state does it differently." With a (nine-year-old) library of formats, trust SmartReg to keep you up to date.
